Natural History Museum

Animal Drawing at the Museum of Natural History.
Participants will purchase their own tickets to the museum.

The approach will be the same as Vilppu´s figure drawings courses. It is a logical step by step procedure where you can focus on one element at a time. First, get the gesture, then construct using simple forms, add appropriate anatomical elements then tone and detail to bring the animal to life! Focusing first on the gesture gives the drawings a sense of movement and life. He will give several demos throughout each day and work with each artist individually as they draw. Artists of all levels are welcome.

Composition and Sketching
11am-5 pm
Participants will purchase their own tickets to the museum.

Glenn Vilppu will analyze compositions of paintings to show how artists moved the eye through the picture. Participants will then observe and draw the compositions in other paintings. Sketching and approaches to Sketching will also be part of the day.Artists have told us that this is one of their favorite workshops, that it really opens their eyes!Artists of all levels are welcome.
