Prerequisite: Figure Drawing One

Rather than just copying the clothed figure, this 10 week workshop will focus on understanding drapery, using it to describe the form of figure underneath and accentuate the movement. You will learn the 7 basic folds. Being able to recognize them will allow you to work more quickly and use them effectively in your drawing. Rendering techniques and different ways to use light will also be covered.
By recognizing these folds the artist can more quickly understand and indicate drapery effectively, using it as a tool of expression.

Drapery is my favourite thing to draw, and Glenn not only nurtured my love for the subject, but elevated it to new heights of understanding and ability. Gesture, form, and composition fuel all the lessons of the course, and since Glenn does those three things better than anybody alive, you won't find somewhere to learn about clothing or drapery like Glenn can teach you here.

A great class without a strict syllabus, yet full of valuable instruction that even includes composition. The lessons not only give clear instruction but also inspire your creativity. Draped figure is more tricky than the nude and Glenn’s approach is invaluable. As with all of his classes, every video is packed with information without being excessively long.
